The skies may have been overcast, but the racers were hot, a few so hot that they left pieces strewn down the track. Jennifer Hansen hoped to go home with the trophy on the weekend which Hansen Transmission sponsored, but the trophy eluded her. She says she will be back on the next weekend. Now that she has earned her license on Memorial Day, newcomer Amanda Reimann is showing some of the older drivers (no offense, Mark Eslinger) how to burn down the track in the Top Dragster class. Ron Bowerman of Anchorage took the Top ET trophy for the second week in a row. Jim Trueblood is points leader for Open Air with wins two weeks in a row.
