1957 Chevy Truck, it has a .030 over 454 with a crane cam 600 lift 289 duration. Double roller timing chain and performer intake. It has a 780 vacuum secondary Holley on top. The heads are off a 71 corvette motor port matched with a 5 angle valve job and gold crane roller rockers. Radiator is an aluminum griffin with dual electric fans. The motor was built rite with quality parts and has always ran really strong. The tranny is a 400 just replaced 2 years ago, it was built at a race shop in Michigan ; it has less than 20 miles on it. I replaced it due to cracked bell housing on the original 350 turbo. The 350 is still a good tranny if the bell housing is welded up, that goes with it. The converter is a Hughes 3500 stall also only 20 mile on it. The rear end it a 10 bolt, 4:56 Richmond gear with stock GM posi unit. Mechanically the truck is original 1957 front I beam suspension and leaf springs. Brakes are drum and original single cylinder master cylinder. Steering is still original non power. It needs tires due to dry root from sitting. Over all the truck was only driven and street race for 1 year in Michigan 1990 - 1991 after I built it in. I joined the military and it sat for 10 years until 2001 when trailered it to Fairbanks . Unfortunately in 2001 Fairbanks 's drag track closed and the truck has been sitting here ever since. 1970 oldsmobile cutlass S- I put in a 455ci, th350 with 3500 stall, and 3.90 gears in the rear diff. Its ran a best 12.60s at Alaska Raceway park.The engine, trans and diff have no more than 10,000 miles on them. It was stricly driven in the summer only. It does pass Im but it hasent been tested for almost two years. I built a camaro stricly for drag racing and the olds just sat still. i run it every month or two. I need to put in a new battery( it didnt make it through the winter. The car has headers with full 3inch exaust through flowmasters. Its on 255-60-r15 in the rear and 225-60-r14 in the front. I have two brand new front fenders,still wrapped in cardboard, A w-30 fiberglass hood still crated from being shipped up here. Good original center console and interior panels. And many extras. the car does need rear quarter panels and outer fender wells. I do have one new outer fender well. There is some surface rust on the roof and upper quarter area. The new sheet metal is from GOODMARK Industries. the interior has no carpet but the floor is solid, as is the frame.
